Mindstoria is a personal well-being app that helps you track your feelings, emotions, impacts, sleep, and optional thought-based journaling. Your privacy and data security are our top priority.

1. Information We Collect

Mindstoria collects only the data necessary to provide the core features of the App.

1.1 Data You Provide
  • Mood logs (wellbeing level, impacts, emotions)
  • CBT-style thought entries (optional)
  • Sleep quality entries
  • Optional medication notes
  • Backup/export data if you choose to export your logs
1.2 Automatically Collected Data
  • Crash and app performance data (via Expo/Google Play, if enabled)

We do not collect:

  • Personal identity information (name, email, phone number)
  • Location data
  • Photos, contacts, or any device files
  • Sensitive financial information

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data only for the following purposes:

2.1 App Functionality

To provide core features such as:

  • Logging feelings, impacts, and emotions
  • CBT journaling
  • Sleep tracking
  • Showing charts and insights
  • Restoring your data from backup
2.2 Analytics (optional)

Anonymous crash/performance analytics and app usage analytics (via Mixpanel) may be collected to improve stability, usability, and performance. No personal content or logs are ever included.

3. Data Storage & Security

All your personal logs (feelings, emotions, CBT entries, sleep, medications) are stored locally on your device, unless you explicitly choose to export them.

Data is encrypted in transit whenever sent over the network (for example, when using updates or backups).

We do not store or access your personal logs on our servers.

4. Data Sharing

Your personal log data is never shared with any third parties.

The only data that may be shared is:

  • Crash/performance analytics, anonymized and aggregated

This contains no personal content and cannot identify you.

Mindstoria does not share or sell data for advertising or marketing.

5. Data Retention

  • Your logs remain on your device until you delete the app or remove the data manually.

  • If you export a backup, you are responsible for its storage.

  • Crash analytics may be stored by third-party services (such as Expo or Google Play) for a limited time based on their policies.

6. Data Deletion Requests

Because Mindstoria does not require accounts and does not store your logs on servers:

  • You can delete all your data by deleting the app from your device.
  • If you have exported backups, delete those files manually.

7. Children's Privacy

Mindstoria is not intended for children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

8. Third-Party Services

Mindstoria may use:

  • Expo / Google Play Services for crash reporting and updates
  • Mixpanel for anonymous analytics of app usage and feature interactions

These services may collect technical information such as device type, OS version, session events, and app usage patterns, but they do not collect your personal logs, thoughts, moods, or journal entries.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Updates will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
